1. Overview

Taranga 1.0 Software Hackathon is a national-level coding marathon organized as a flagship event of Taranga – The Wave of Technology. As a continuation of the ACES TechFest Software Hackathon, this edition brings together student developers from across Nepal for an intensive 36-hour immersive hackathon.

Participants collaborate in teams to design and build functional software prototypes that address real-world challenges. The event emphasizes learning, creativity, collaboration, and practical problem-solving in a fully supported hackathon environment.

2. Objectives

• Strengthen the technical skills and confidence of student developers
• Promote nationwide collaboration among young innovators
• Encourage development of impactful, real-world software solutions
• Provide a resource-rich, immersive environment for focused creativity
• Inspire long-term innovation and entrepreneurial thinking

3. Themes & Challenges

• The hackathon is organized around three category-based themes
• Themes will be revealed on Day 1 of the event
• Each team must work within its assigned or chosen theme
